The Printers Guild
The mission of the Printers Guild is to support The Printing Museum by promoting, practicing, and preserving the art of printing by the letterpress process.

Are you passionate about words, letters, typefaces, and books? Do you thrill to the sight and texture of old printed text and small-edition fine printing? Are you fascinated by the materials and machinery of handset and pre-digital printing? Then you may be a candidate for the Printers Guild. Come see what we do and consider becoming involved with the historic craft!

The Printers Guild generally has lectures, workshops, demonstrations, studio visits, or other activities scheduled each month. They also work on various group printing projects throughout the year. The Guild membership includes lifelong printers, hobby printers, new printers, and non-printers. They are a convivial group who enjoy welcoming guests and newcomers.

The Printers Guild meets once a month, usually on the first Saturday of every month, at 10:00 a.m., at The Printing Museum, 1324 W. Clay St., Houston, Texas 77019.

Dues are $15/year. Membership income funds Printers Guild projects, such as the annual calendars. Income also funds Printers Guild programming, such as supplies for the monthly meetings and bringing in speakers from out of town.

The Houston Book Arts Guild
The Houston Book Arts Guild (HBAG) exists to establish collaborations among Houston-area artists whose work involves paper and book structures: printmaking, bookbinding, calligraphy, papermaking, letterpress, and others. Our meetings at The Printing Museum combine an opportunity to display ideas and recent projects, to foster working connections among artists, and to teach and learn skills through hands-on workshops.

HBAG meets the first Thursday of each month at The Printing Museum.
